Puppy Pre-school — Starting on the right paw

 

  • Puppy pre-school is fun and informative three week course that is run here at the clinic by our nurses.
  • Class one is held on the 1st Tuesday of the Month and the following 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays - BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL
  • The aim of puppy pre-school is to start you and your new puppy in the right direction with regard to training and obedience.
  • It is also designed to allow your puppy to meet other dogs and people and to learn and develop appropriate social skills.   This helps avoid things such as aggression towards people and other dogs.   It also encourages appropriate play between dogs.
  • Our focus of obedience is on positive reinforcement - we use praise and food rewards during class.
  • A certificate is provided on completion of the course and each puppy receives a free show bag. In addition, awards are given to best in class, including free puppy food, heartworm and flea control.
  • Classes are run during the evening and the duration is approximately one and a half hours per night.
  • A limit of two family members per puppy applies.   Children over 10 years of age are welcome.
  • Bookings are essential so please register your puppy for our next class.
