Our Nurses

Our team of nurses are highly motivated, friendly and have completed or are currently completing studies in veterinary nursing and animal care. Many years of experience enables our nurses to offer professional advice on any questions that you may have. Advanced training in areas such as oral hygiene, nutrition, reproduction, anaesthesia and preventative health means they can provide accurate and concise information to you.

Veterinary Nurse – Head Nurse
Lisa started her veterinary nursing career with us in 2007. She has a 1 year old Saint Bernard called McKenzie. After working in a pet shop, Lisa decided to become a veterinary nurse in order to work more closely with animals. She particularly enjoys looking after the hospitalised patients. Lisa is quite partial to the colour yellow and outside of work she plays hockey competitively.
Veterinary Nurse – Head Nurse
Susan started with our clinic in December
2010 and during that time has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at VU TAFE. She started as a trainee and has worked her way up to be one of our leading staff members as our head nurse. She has a number of family pets and loves blue heeler dogs.

Veterinary Nurse – Clinic Manager
Jeanette started working as a veterinary nurse shortly after finishing high school and is still loving working as part of a veterinary team more than 25 years on. She has been with the Wyndham Veterinary Clinic since we first opened in 2000 and works as part of our surgical nursing team. She has five pets: Harry a ginger domestic shorthair, Ralphie a red British shorthair,  Gus a blue British shorthair, Dapherz a Staffordshire terrier that she raised from birth and Sox the energetic 9 year old border collie. In her spare time she enjoys riding her bike, walking the dogs, eating, travelling and hanging out on the farm.

Veterinary Nurse
Allison started her nursing career at Altona Vet in 1987 after finishing school and has been a valuable part of our team since 2003.
At home she has a dog, Sara, a cat, Stanley, a galah, Annie and a cockatiel, Trevor.
Outisde of work, Allison enjoys playing netball and spending time with the family.
Veterinary Nurse
Donna started her veterinary nursing career in the equine field. In 1999 she moved abroad to Kentucky US and spent her time managing a neonatal Intensive Care Unit for a world renown thoroughbred farm and working alongside ambulatory veterinarians from Hagyard Davidson McGee. She returned to Australia and continued nursing at Goulburn Valley Equine hospital in the areas of reproduction, medicine and surgery.  In 2006 she made the change to small animal nursing and joined Wyndham Veterinary Clinic!  At home she has a Bernese Mountain dog called Macey, and 2 rabbits Molly and Lucy who were both named before it was discovered they were actually boys!! Outside of work she enjoys being with her husband and 2 children and has a passion for martial arts.

Veterinary Nurse

Merissa became a veterinary nurse in 2005, and has since had experience in multiple veterinary clinics as well as the pet food industry. She joined our team in October 2014. She has been an animal lover since birth, attending dog obedience trials with her parents and the family German Shepherd and Irish Setters before she could walk, and was cat-obsessed throughout her childhood. Having bred numerous litters of Burmese cats and Australian Bulldogs, and fostering countless puppies and kittens, it’s natural that her passion includes reproduction,
neonatal care and nutrition. She also enjoys regular
obedience training with one of her bulldogs, George (pictured).
She hopes to progress into other activities such as
tracking and herding with her new German Shepherd
pup who arrived in June 2015.

Veterinary Nurse

Jess started working at the Wyndham Veterinary Clinic in April 2013 as a Trainee Vet Nurse and loves working with all the gorgeous animals that come to the clinic. She enjoys all aspects of nursing and has a keen interest in surgical nursing. At home she has one rescue rabbit named Billy and two rescue cats, Barney (pictured) and Fry. In her spare time, Jess enjoys listening to music, playing guitar, shopping, baking brownies and learning about space.

Veterinary Nurse
Brooke started with our clinic in 2016. She has loved animals since before she could talk and her passion for nursing began when she started nursing her older dog from home when he became very sick. Brooke owns a very mixed breed dog named Spike (pictured). She would love to further her education in emergency and she has an interest in learning more about equine nursing at some stage. She also enjoys training young nurse trainees and performing all things related to pathology. Outside of work Brooke loves  fine dining, being in nature on warm days and watching fantasy movies/tv shows.

Veterinary Nurse
Courtney started at Wyndham Verterinary Clinic in August 2017. Previously working in other small animal clinics and her local shelter as both a Vet nurse and a kennel/cattery attendant. She enjoys the fast pace of WVC and how no two days are the same. She has a 5 year old Domestic Short Hair named Meowth (pictured) and an albino tiger oscar called Bonnie. In the future Courtney would like to further her knowledge in orthopaedic nursing both surgical and aftercare, emergency and critical nursing and wants to pursue her Diploma in Surgical nursing. In her spare time she likes to tinker with her car or motorbike, attend vintage pinup events and summer car shows, and spend time with family and friends.

Adele started her traineeship with Wyndham Veterinary Clinic in 2016 as a trainee vet nurse, whilst studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing . She began her career caring for animals by volunteering at an animal shelter and has never looked back. At home she has 3 cheeky Guinea pigs, with plans to grow her fury family in the future. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family.

Shannan joined our team in June 2017 and has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing through traineeship in our clinic. Shannan has always loved animals, she owns a Staffordshire bull terrier cross kelpie named “Ace” as well as “Sammi” and “Eyra” the domestic cats, Sammi is bigger than most. Outside of work Shannan enjoys spending time with them, drawing, anything to do with Harry Potter and spending time with friends as well as a few more animals on the property, horses and bulldogs included.

Eliza is currently studying a Certificate IV in veterinary nursing at Goulburn Institute of Tafe. She joined our team in 2016 after working at another practice. At home she has a ragdoll cat named Ollie, and a pug named Finn. She also keeps goldfish as a hobby. When not at work, she spends time going out to coffee with Finn and her partner, or spending time with family.

Dee is Wyndham Veterinary Clinic’s resident Dog Training Instructor and Canine Psychologist. She runs all our puppy training classes plus is available for behavioural consultations and individual classes for all dogs. Dee qualified as a Dog Training Instructor in 1985 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse (RCVS, UK) in 1990. Dee also has a Diploma in K9 Psychology, is a Service Dog Instructor, qualified Therapy Dog Trainer and Assessor plus has a Cert IV TAE (teaching qualification).
Previous roles have included small animal veterinary nurse, large animal veterinary nurse, ICU veterinary nurse, manager RSPCA kennels, manager national service dog breeding program, manager national service dog training kennels and Service Dog Instructor covering 3 states.
Dogs are Dee’s passion with experience within many fields with many breeds including Police Dogs – scent detection and manwork, Guide Dogs, Service Dogs and Therapy Dogs. As well as trialling dogs for obedience, agilty, tracking and track and search. Plus of course the very important pet dog.
Dee enjoys trialling with her Golden Retriever Tigger – who is blind, in tracking, track and search, and obedience – he has 9 titles so far including 2 champion titles; Tracking Champion and Track and Search Champion.
